About the artist
Born and raised in Malaysia, Adrian is a self-taught artist in the early stages of his career. After stepping away from art for several years, he returned to his childhood passion with renewed focus and curiosity. In order to visualize the internal landscape of the human mind, Adrian’s practice explores psychology-related themes, relating mainly to intrapersonal reflection, introspection, and self-exploration. As these elements are essentials for one’s own personal growth and self-awareness, at the same time reflecting his ongoing search for identity and meaning in this field.
He seeks to emphasize the importance of understanding oneself as a means of navigating life. The creation of atmospheric, peaceful, dreamy, and at times chaotic visual spaces through gradient blending in his works is his own way of communicating with viewers. He wishes that those who are struggling can discover a lasting impact from his work, encouraging them to maintain hope and embrace life.
